Amazing private getaway!!
What could be better than having your own 4.7 acre island getaway for a few days? My wife, her sister and I stayed at Gibson Island and all I can say is WOW!! What a beautiful place to go and relax. This location is perfect because it is far enough off the main channel to have peace and quiet but close enough that you could go park your boat and go up to Newboro or to Chaffey's locks for gas, LCBO or convenience store type groceries. You can also boat right to the Opinicon resort. Do you like fishing? Get ready to catch some trophy bass and pike, A word of advice though "don't forget your net"!!
Excellent stay
We just recently stayed here at Gibson Island and it will hopefully not be our last time. What a beautiful place to start into the summer. We enjoyed ourselves, fishing, relaxing, we had fun playing and swimming in the lake and would love to come back to explore this area more. The cottage is very comfortable and we had everything we needed for us 8 people (5 adults and 3 children). The communication with the host was excellent and all our questions, prior to arrival were answered quick. Once again, thank you very much for letting us stay at Gibson Island - we will be back!
