Upper Rideau Lake is one of the larger lakes along the Rideau Canal system and is excellent for boating, fishing, paddling and exploring.

Two separate sleeping bunkies provide additional sleeping space and privacy, making the property well suited to families or groups travelling together.

The screened-in porch offers a comfortable place for meals and relaxing, while the waterfront deck is a great spot for morning coffee, an afternoon by the lake or watching the sunset in the evening.

Newboro, Westport & the Rideau Canal

Blue Heron is located on the outskirts of Newboro, one of the historic communities along the Rideau Canal. Newboro is only minutes away by car and offers local shops, dining and services.

The popular village of Westport is also nearby, with restaurants, cafés, boutiques, groceries, golf courses and a picturesque harbour.

Guests bringing a boat have an especially convenient way to visit Westport, with Westport Harbour only a short boat ride across Upper Rideau Lake.

From Blue Heron, you can also explore the interconnected lakes, lockstations and communities of the historic Rideau Canal waterway.
