A flat lawn leads from the cottage to the waterfront, making it easy to move between the cottage, yard and lake throughout the day. Upper Rideau Lake offers excellent swimming, fishing and boating, while the private dock and boat lift make Blue Heron on the Rideau particularly convenient for guests bringing their own boat.

Two kayaks are provided for exploring the lake and shoreline. With its northwest exposure, the property enjoys afternoon sun and beautiful evening sunsets over the water.
