Father, son, grandson fishing trip

Hello, My father and son had an awesome time at this Benson Lake cabin! House is clean and in great condition! Perfect location with amazing fishing! Looking forward to future trips here with my family!

Just spent GREAT rain free week @ Bay View! Aug 2024. Cottage was perfect and had everything we needed. Housekeepers do a great job and everything was well maintained. Robin went above and beyond to help us navigate the bay with his pontoon boat which always makes the vacation special. Thanks Robin..will be sure to look you up when we plan our next Canadian vacation...

Kayaker and Fisherman Paradise

Loved the location. Several deer greeted us as we entered the peninsula. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, with little noise from passing boaters as it is in a secluded part of Benson Lake. The view from the cottage is canopy of trees, with a view of the lake and dock about 40 yards away. It is a great area for kayaking and fishing. We easily explored parts Benson, Mosquito and Indian Lake. Clear Lake is a bit more of a paddle, but worth it if you'd like to explore the diving rocks. Swimming off the dock is not possible as it is shallow and covered with water lillies. A few swimming spots were accessible on nearby islands, using our kayaks and canoe. The cottage itself is well equipped, well designed, comfortable and has a gorgeous main living area with a magnificent view.

The entire family had a great vacation and we have been waiting 3 years to come back to fish on Benson Lake. The Sunsets, Loons, Deer, Osprey, Frogs, Lilly Pads and Bass Fishing are exceptional. Although the weather was hot and humid during our week, it didn't effect the good fishing. The Cabin is in a perfect secluded area offering solitude. We rented a Pontoon Boat from Rideau Cruiser #1 Boat Rental and it was at our dock when we arrived. The Pontoon Boat was in great condition and was well equipped. Thanks for a great week.

Wonderful cottage

What a wonderful cottage in an excellent location. we had a great vacation, lots of wildlife, fantastic fishing. We have been coming to the Rideau for 35 years and staying at Bayview was by far our most comfortable vacation.

Absolutely the best renters ever! I got a call from the cleaner saying that no-one had stayed at the cottage. Thanks for leaving it so clean, but that is not necessary!

Such a nice getaway

What a wonderful treat to stay at Bayview through Rideau Lake Cottages. The booking process and communication was nice and easy. The cottage was spacious and wonderful. Our little one loved hearing frog and bird sounds for the first time in harmony. He loved finding all the fish in the cottage and his favorite was the sea turtle in the illustration poster upstairs. So lovely taking little walks to the dock and seeing the water shimmer and breathing the fresh air. We think we even saw a swan! It was a perfect relaxing getaway from the city for our anniversary and we will definitely stay again.

Great Vacation!

We had a great vacation at this cottage! We rent a different cottage every summer all over Ontario and this is one of the better ones. Very private, very quiet, so much wildlife, great fishing and a beautiful cottage as well. We highly recommend renting this cottage!

What a fantastic property!

My group had a wonderful 1 week stay in this cottage. It's clean, well equipped and very private which was perfect. Fantastic view and access to the lake. We had does and wild turkeys coming every morning :) Communication with Robin was easy and quick. Perfect getaway from the city!

You cannot afford to miss this great place!

We originally planned to stay for a week but we couldn't resist to this beautiful cottage and Rideau Lakes so we had to extend our staying for another week. The cottage is clean and well maintained, located in the quite spot off Benson lake. It's roomy enough for 8 adults, and it connects to six lakes without going thru locks, PERFECT for anglers and boaters. We highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for one to stay with your friends, family members, or even couple get-away.

Location, location, location....

This is a beautiful cottage in a very peaceful location. A great place to spend quality time with family and friends. Good trails close by to walk through the forest and also around the property which is lovely inside and out. The kitchen is well equipped but you do need to take most things with you, ie paper towels, aluminum foil, those kind of things. There are some spices but we would recommend taking your own. There is an outdoor fire pit which was great to use and sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet! Would highly recommend this cottage and would not hesitate to book it again!
