Welcome to The Lake House, a newly renovated two‑bedroom cottage tucked into a quiet bay on Sand Lake. Inside, an open‑concept layout connects the kitchen, dining, and living spaces so everyone can relax together. A bright sunroom frames the water and opens to a private deck that sits over a secluded shoreline. It is peaceful, sheltered, and perfect for that first coffee or last light.

Steps from the back door, the two‑level boathouse is your summer hub. Lounge on the upper deck behind a sleek glass railing, or head down to the covered boat slip. From there, a floating raft makes swimming easy and fun. Open for 4 season fun!

Is the bay weedy or clear? Water conditions change through the season. The bay is typically calm and great for paddling and swimming from the raft. Ask us about conditions for your dates.

Can I bring my own boat? Yes. The covered slip fits most runabouts and fishing boats. Share your boat length and draft so we can confirm.

Is there winter access? Yes, via Hanlon Bay Road. The cottage has a new propane furnace and is set up for colder months. 

Pets are not allowed.

The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, parties, and lots more!
