An ideal spot for the best vacation and respite

I have been spending vacations at this wonderful place for the past several summers and there is NO place I would recommend more highly. Surrounded by trees and beautiful nature, it is the perfect sanctuary for peace and relaxation. There is a gazebo and multiple places on the property to sit, get a fantastic view and read a book. The opportunity to kayak, paddle board is right there nestled in a beautiful lake with very little boat traffic. A dip in the lake is SO refreshing and as far as am concerned, it is “Heaven on Earth”!!!

Rock Ridge is in a GREAT location - close to Perth, Lombardy, and Smiths Falls. The location on the lake was equally fantastic. We enjoyed calm waters - taking the kayak, canoe, and paddle boards out. The cottage was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Communication with Robin was fantastic and he was extremely responsive to any of our inquiries.

Rock Ridge cottage Rideau Ferry

We had a wonderful stay at Rock Ridge cottage, so clean and we did not lack anything. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and appreciated the bunkie located next to the cottage. The waterfront and dock was wonderful and well equiped with canoe, kayaks, paddleboards and lifevests. We had family near by which made are stay much more enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Relaxing and peaceful getaway

Our week at Rock Ridge was nothing but wonderful and relaxing. The cottage was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly want. We made great use of the kayaks and stand up paddleboards and swimming was also great right off the dock. Much time was spent sitting lakeside in the comfy Adirondack chairs and when we needed a break from the sun, we relaxed in the gazebo with a book and a drink. If privacy with amazing views is what you’re looking for, this is the place!

Beautiful views and serenity

Our first day hadn't come to a close before my wife and I were asking each other if we thought the owners would be interested in selling this beautiful property. Complete privacy in every direction and the perfect size of lake to ensure calm water and limited boat traffic. The cottage is high on a beautiful chunk of granite offering fantastic views that never get old. Clean, unique, well equipped and with a great selection of quality watercraft. We will be back whenever our schedule allows.

Excellent natural experience

This is a modern cottage with easy access to various natural lives. During the daytime, my kids found deer, frogs, falcon, rabbit and snake just nearby the cottage. At night, sitting on the couch on the porch, we can easily spot the milky way galaxy in a clear night sky with many fireflies flying around us. The cottage also has many board games which my family enjoys playing together. Not to mention that we can try the canoe and kayak, etc. Overall, it is a great experience for my family to have a vacation in this cottage.

Perfect Getaway

An amazing place to getaway. Everything was so clean and welcoming, which made it immensely easy to settle in and start our vacation. The cottage is set high on a wonderfully private area with beautiful views in all directions. During the day there are plenty of activities to do and seemingly endless water to explore. At night there's no shortage of options, but we couldn't stay away for the fire pit. My only regret is that we didn't book another day so that I could master that standup paddle board.

Stunning setting with privacy and great waterfront

Having recently spent a weekend at this cottage, it has it all. Private setting, great waterfront, well equipped cottage and about an hour from Ottawa! It even has AC for those hot summer days/nights if needed. Lots to do with plenty of board games for a rainy day or paddle boards for some time on the water. We even enjoyed watching some deer down by the water while having our morning coffee on the deck. Quiet lake with access to the Big Rideau makes it even better! Beautiful sunsets with lots of sun exposure during the day. A short drive to Perth or Rideau Ferry to pick up any items you may have forgotten along the way.

Beautiful lakeside oasis

We had a wonderful stay at The Rock Ridge Cottage. The cottage is on a stunning property with gorgeous views of the lake from many spots. It is beautifully appointed, cozy and stylish with all the amenities you could ask for. We had a great time swimming and kayaking to Murphy’s Point. The landscape is a nature lovers dream. Comfortable beds and soft bedding. Enjoyed the multiple fire spots outside and coffee on the dock. Even more gorgeous than the pictures. We can’t wait to come back!
