Cozy Rustic Retreat!
We spent a peaceful visit here on Lake Opinicon. We were greeted on our after-dark arrival by a family of five deer - surely a good omen! Over the week, we had visits from 9 deer, a porcupine, a gang of nine geese, three loons, countless frogs and toads, and on the last morning, a pair of beautiful white Trumpeter swans appeared out of the mist on the lake in front of the cabin. We watched them all from the screened in porch, tea in hand and scones at the ready. The lake is shallow and canoeing on it was a delight. There were bluegill right off the end of the dock. All in all, a lovely week!
Lakewood on Opinicon
We had a wonderful time at Lakewood. We stayed with our son and his family. Wonderful cabin with a screened in porch that we watched almost every sunrise and listened to the calling of the lions in the evening. The fishing was slow but the fish that we did catch were big!! The geese and otters love it there as well. A home that creates solitude and reflection. Everything was as pictures and all things represented were true. Robin was a pleasure to deal with.
Vacation
We had a very enjoyable 7 days; cabin was fine had all the essential amenities. Was clean great place. Beautiful view great fishing. Been vacationing on the lake for all but 30 years
Great cabin and beautiful lake
Spent 3 great days in the cottage with beautiful views and so quiet, except for the loons but we just loved hearing them day or night. Had a great time using canoe and kayak as well as nice hikes along some beautiful trails in the area. Lots of birds, porcupines etc. Highly recommend this area and of course the cottage, 3 days was not enough time to explore and we will definitely be back
Beautiful cottage
Myself and 3 friends really enjoyed the seclusion and abundant nature of Lake Opinicon in early spring. The cottage is well equipped and modern, making time spent there a pleasurable getaway.

This is the second year we came to the place and we found everything were as perfect as last year. We put a little marker at the rock across the island opposite so that we had a safe access and we had a worry free more enjoyable fishing experience. We also find checking out at 10 am is a little rush..
Great Cabin
I stayed at this cabin with my 2 son's and we really enjoyed this nice secluded cabin. The fishing was good. Screened in front porch is nice place to sit and relax.Skycroft campground is just a short drive down road and their woodfire pizza was very good. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Lakewood’s screened porch is the perfect place to listen to the birds, watch the heron, and contemplate this wonderful cottage life!
Great Cabin
The cabin was clean and well maintained in a secluded location. Well stocked with kitchen supplies. My group fully enjoyed our stay.

Cabin issues
Please tell Robin Corbino when you see a problem with the cabin please. We had a few things that were wrong that could of been a hazard situation. Been coming here for 6 years and we treat it like it's ours.Enjoy your stay.
